Dr. James Lacey

Dr. James Lacey is a Royal College Certified Plastic Surgeon since 1999, with a fellowship in hand surgery and has been a certified member of American Board Eligible Plastic Surgery for 10 years. He has been in private practice performing cosmetic surgery for more than 20 years in Canada. Dr. Lacey is also on staff at Almonte General Hospital where he has performed OHIP and cosmetic plastic surgery for the past 16 years.
About Dr. James Lacey
Dr. James Lacey attended medical school at McGill University in Montreal, Canada. Upon graduation, he went on to complete a plastic and reconstructive surgery residency at the McGill University Health Centre in Montreal. Dr. Lacey spent 10 years at McGill university for his training. Dr. Lacey the assumed the role of Hand Fellow and instructor in hand surgery during a one year fellowship in hand and microsurgery at the University of Rochester, New York.
In 2000, he founded Barrie Plastic Surgery and went on staff at the Royal Victoria Hospital of Barrie. Dr. Lacey also performed cosmetic surgery at the Cosmetic Surgery Hospital in Woodbridge, just north of Toronto. In 2006, Dr. Lacey moved to Ottawa and founded Kanata Plastic and Cosmetic Surgery, the only stand-alone private cosmetic surgical facility in Ottawa.

Additional Information
Dr. Lacey has lived in Kanata since 2006, and when he is not spending time with his family, he enjoys sailing, downhill skiing, and spending time at his cottage in Quebec. If Dr. Lacey could not be a renowned plastic surgeon, he would be a race car driver.

Professional and excellent surgeon
r Lacey is a true professional and an excellent surgeon. My experience with Dr Lacey started after I had an accident leaving me with a gaping infected hole in my shin. Somehow Dr Lacey was able to clean and close the large hole with very little tissue to work with. Incredible! I believe that many surgeons would not have been able to accomplish this. His bedside manner is fantastic. He is clear and methodical. I recommend Dr Lacey!
Compassionate Dr.
Kanata Plastic and Cosmetic Surgery is a beautiful, clean facility. Staff and nurses are kind and highly experienced, while being an excellent resource for surgery questions and concerns. Anesthesiologist is caring, gentle, skillful and has a great ability to calm any worry. Dr. James Lacey shows compassion for his patients care. Not only is Dr Lacey very pleasant and made me feel very comfortable, but he is very attentive to detail and excellent at his work.
I had minor surgery and was able to go back to work the very next day (working remotely) and able to go back to work in the office after 10 days. I had excellent care throughout, the anesthesiologist did a great job, Dr Lacey’s work left me with little bruising, the recovery nurse was very knowledgeable, and the staff was very helpful and pleasant. This was my second surgery with Dr Lacey and I highly recommend him.

Dr. Lacey and his team are incredible! I have had a couple procedures with him already and recently had a tummy tuck. I’m very excited with the outcome and can’t wait to see final results after swelling goes down. He is a perfectionist and this is why I trust and love him.
