Dr. Van Laeken is a volunteer with IPRAS’ Women for Women charity programme which is supported by female plastic surgeons who travel abroad to help women suffering from disfiguring or socially excluding injuries and trauma. Dr. Van Laeken has travelled to India (2011, 2012, 2013, 2015, 2016, 2017), Bangladesh (2014) and Africa (2016) performing surgeries with the goal of enabling such women to continue on to lead happy and prosperous lives despite their injuries and trauma they have suffered in the past.

Best and most caring surgeon
Dr. Van Laeken is one of the best and most caring people and surgeons I have had the pleasure of meeting. I have had 3 surgeries with her over the course of 19 years and my experience has been incredible every time pre and post-op. Most recently I had a major operation with her that required additional care. She not only made herself available to see me many many times she continued to stress to me that it’s important I feel comfortable and made sure to ease any concerns I had at any time. She called me on her vacation to ease concern, she truly goes above and beyond. Her bedside manner makes you feel like she is a caring friend. For anyone considering surgery with her know that you will not only be under the care of a talented truly caring surgeon but her entire team mirrors that care as well.

If there was an option for 10 stars, Dr. Van Laeken would get them all! She is the exact surgeon you want working on you – detail-oriented, extremely experienced, takes pride in the perfection of her work, and is amiable. She’s easy to talk to and understanding of your wants, but she is also convicted in knowing the right way to approach things. I feel so lucky to have had her work on a major surgery for me, and I would 100% recommend her and her team for both medical reconstructive surgery and also cosmetic surgery.
Incredibly skilled and empathetic surgeon
Dr. Nancy Van Laeken is an incredibly skilled and empathetic surgeon. She has been by my side helping me with my breast cancer mastectomies and reconstruction over the past few years. She takes time to listen and empathize with any questions and concerns I have….and has never made me feel I was being unreasonable with anything I needed or asked for. Her compassion is top-class and her skills are unrivaled. Would recommend Nancy 1000%.
