Opening his clinical practice in 1995, Dr. Mitchell Brown has been recognized for his skill and knowledge on both a national and international level. In addition to performing live surgery demonstrations at major breast surgery meetings, he has been invited to present at conferences and symposia in several various nations. There is no question that he is highly sought-after given his educational background and the just concluded ten-year position as Residency Program Director for the Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.

Through his membership in several societies, invited lectures, and scientific publications, Dr. Brown regularly contributes to the plastic surgery community outside of his clinical practice. As a Professor of Surgery at the University of Toronto, he actively shares his vast expertise. Dr. Brown has a significant body of work in peer and non-peer reviewed scientific journals; he believes peer-read and peer-edited journals are an essential teaching resource in the field of plastic surgery. He has also founded and serves as the co-course director of the Toronto Annual Beast Surgery Conference, the largest annual medical symposium of its kind in Canada. Dr. Brown established Breast Reconstruction Awareness (BRA) Day in 2011 as another annual event to recognize the importance of breast reconstruction education, accessibility, and awareness following breast cancer treatment. Today, BRA Day is celebrated in more than 25 nations around the world. As an expert on plastic, reconstructive, and cosmetic surgery, he frequently appears in the media as a spokesperson. His interviews have aired on CBC Radio and Television, City TV, The Life Channel, and Canada AM, among other stations. Dr. Brown is also an active staff member at Women’s College Hospital and North York General Hospital in Toronto, Ontario.

Great Experience
I had a great experience with Dr. Brown and his support staff. It has been one of the best ones I have had with any doctor. I had surgery about a month ago and though I am still recovering I am very happy with the results so far. Everyone at the office was very supportive and helpful in my recovery process. The staff were always willing to assist me if Dr. Brown was not available. I highly recommend his practice.
Absolutely Amazing
Dr. Brown & staff are absolutely amazing!!! I came to Dr. Brown unsure if I was even able to have cosmetic surgery with my complicated past medical history, he not only reassured me but asked questions, requested medical records & in all just made me feel better with my decision. I am only 2 months post surgery but I am so happy with my results & am 100% positive I wouldn’t have achieved them without his experience & skill. The best doctor
The best doctor and support staff I have ever dealt with! Apart from being a phenomenal surgeon, his bedside manner is highly professional and compassionate. I really appreciate the incredible ease of communication with both his practice at Women’s College and Toronto Plastic Surgery. The level of organization and punctuality really stand out in comparison to other doctors I have dealt with, be it private or public. The staff are always willing to accommodate and assist if and when Dr. Brown is not available. Most importantly, I could not be happier with the aesthetic results! The finished product surpassed my expectations. He is conscientious in providing the patient their desired result within the realms of reality.
