Dr. Kamal Tumi is a skilled and innovative plastic surgeon who serves Southern Ontario, including his local community of Barrie, Simcoe County, and the Muskoka area. Dr. Tumi has wealth of experience in both reconstructive and cosmetic surgery and places his patients' health and safety above all else. He and the Barrie Plastic & Cosmetic Surgery Clinic (BPS) prioritize meeting and exceeding patients' expectations and restoring lost confidence. About Dr. Kamal Tumi
Dr. Tumi moved to Barrie in 2004 and considers himself fortunate to be a part of such a great community and to serve the surrounding areas. In the same year, he joined Royal Victoria Hospital (RVH) as a consultant plastic surgeon. Dr. Tumi obtained his medical degree in 1987 and then rotated through various surgical specialty fields (general surgery, orthopedic surgery, and trauma surgery) before joining the Tripoli Center for Plastic Surgery for 15 years. He then earned his Canadian specialist certificate in plastic surgery from McMaster University and completed a plastic surgery fellowship at the University of Toronto.
Dr. Tumi thoroughly enjoys many aspects of his career and considers himself honoured to help patients, whether the opportunity is large or small. His favourite aspect of the journey is witnessing patients’ physical and psychological transformations. Dr. Tumi’s mission is to provide safe and high-quality care. He strives to be a lifelong learner and brings up -to-date knowledge and technology to his patients as part of his plastic surgery services. Dr. Tumi and the team at BPS have big hearts and take pride in being honest, ethical, and skilled.
Additionally, patients can benefit from the many hats BPS wears. Whether private or publicly funded, BPS accepts referrals from other physicians’ offices, does consultations and operations at Royal Victorian Hospital (RVH) on a weekly basis, does consultations at the home office, performs major and minor elective surgeries, and provides facial injections.

Professional and very knowledgeable
Dr. Tumi and all of his staff are professional and very knowledgeable. I was nervous going into surgery and Dr. Tumi took a moment to reassure me and it is something I will never forget. His staff go above and beyond. Dr. Tumi is easy to get ahold of and they never seemed frustrated or rushed when I had any questions. There were times when I would call back two minutes later because I forgot to ask something and they were always there to answer anything I needed. I am extremely happy with my results and would highly recommend Dr. Tumi and his staff to anyone.
Most professional and comfortable clinic
This is by far the most professional and comfortable clinic that I’ve been to for addressing my broken capillaries around my nose. I have been to other facilities in Barrie and they have either been unable to achieve successful results, or they did not leave me feeling confident about the potential results.
The staff at the Barrie Plastic and Cosmetic Surgery Clinic take the time to assess your needs, wants, and they answer all your questions. I felt confident about my results. Upon my first visit with BBL I noticed considerable results, and returned for a second treatment.
On my third visit I felt comfortable enough to try the HALO Pro treatment which provides a deeper treatment. I’m currently on day 3 and I can see that there is a 100% difference in my skin, including my nose area. The broken blood vessels appear to be completely gone.
The technician periodically checked in with me to be sure that I was completely comfortable throughout the process. She was gentle around the more sensitive areas of the face.
After the procedure I purchased the recommended products, and I’m so glad I did!!! The epidermal repair cream and the phyto corrective gel have made the recovery so much easier. They provide safe hydration and repair to the skin during the healing process….I can’t imagine using anything else. Same with the cleanser! The post care is super important!
Truthfully, for the intensity of this facial I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

Dr. Tumi and his staff are so kind and comforting. I get very nervous visiting medical settings and they made me feel so relaxed. I had a mole removed from my cheek and Dr. Tumi did an amazing job. Would recommend visiting this practice!
Extremely Happy
I’m a 53 year old woman and am extremely Happy and Delighted with my Breast Reduction and liposuction results !! I am 5 weeks out… the pain from the lipo on the sides was the most difficult part pain wise… but so worth it!! I have gone from very large pendulous breasts, one quite lower then the other to small size D’s that are cute, symmetrical, perky and pretty!! I feel like I’ve become 20 years younger! Dr. Tumi was amazing… and delighted to see how well I am healing … he and his staff are professional and very kind!
I’d recommend to my best friend and have told many to give Dr. Tumi’s office a call!
Amazing
Dr Tumi and his wonderful associate Karyn were amazing from my consultation right thru after care. The office is well appointed, receptionist was lovely. My surgery went well just as expected. Karyn contacted me before surgery to see if I needed anything and continued to contact me after surgery to make sure I was well. My surgery went extremely well and results were above and beyond my expectations. I would recommend this team and would use them again.
