About Dr. Jeffrey Roberts
Dr. Roberts is an accomplished physician and academician, specializing in Obstetrics and Gynecology with a focus on reproductive endocrinology. Following his training, he assumed the role of Assistant Professor at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island. During his tenure, he served as a Reproductive Endocrinologist and played a pivotal role as the Director of the Donor Egg Program at Women and Infants Hospital of Rhode Island.
Board-certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, Dr. Roberts specializes in uterine surgery, fertility preservation, and in vitro fertilization (IVF). Beyond his clinical practice, he is actively engaged in leadership roles, serving as a trustee on the Burnaby Hospital Foundation and holding a position on the board of directors for the Canadian Fertility and Andrology Society (CFAS) as the National Continuing Professional Development director. Dr. Roberts has demonstrated his commitment to advancing the field through his recent presidency of the CFAS during the term 2016 & 2017.
In addition to his clinical and administrative responsibilities, Dr. Roberts is deeply involved in academic pursuits, holding dual appointments in the departments of OB/GYN and Anesthesia, Pharmacology & Therapeutics as a Clinical Instructor with the UBC Faculty of Medicine. His contributions extend to both clinical and basic science research, with several publications and accolades, including a prize for Best Basic Science Paper at the Conjoint Annual Meeting of the American Society of Reproductive Medicine (ASRM) and CFAS in 2005. Dr. Roberts’s multifaceted involvement underscores his dedication to advancing reproductive medicine through a comprehensive approach encompassing clinical care, research, and education.
