About Dr. Harold Hunt
Dr. Hunt is a distinguished medical professional with a remarkable 23-year career, having devoted the past 18 years to serving the community in Victoria on Vancouver Island. In his initial years of practice, he demonstrated his commitment to accessible healthcare by conducting outreach clinics in Alert Bay, Port Hardy, and Tofino.
A dedicated educator, Dr. Hunt has played a significant role in medical education through his involvement in the UBC OB/Gyn residency training program and the Island Medical Program. He has taken on leadership responsibilities for 3rd-year clinical rotations, contributing to the development and training of future medical practitioners.
Dr. Hunt’s impact extends to administrative leadership as well. He served as the department head of the Division of Gynecology on the South Island for five years, showcasing his ability to lead and guide medical teams effectively. His tenure in this leadership role concluded in 2021.
Committed to advancing clinical practices, Dr. Hunt is a member of the BC Colposcopy program through BCCA, highlighting his engagement in specialized areas of women’s health. His clinical practice is broad-based, reflecting a comprehensive and holistic approach to patient care.
