Eye Plus, founded by Dr. Gary Jassal and Dr. Vick Panesar, both Optometrists and Dry Eye Doctors, stands out in the Vancouver Island community for its unique approach to eye care. Dr. Jassal, known for his on-the-go personality, has introduced mobile optometry to the area, offering a convenient service for those unable to visit the Clinic.
He is known for his travel stories, reflecting his dynamic approach to optometry. When not advising patients on health habits like drinking more water, Dr. Panesar indulges in his hobbies of making mugs and walking with his latte and dog. His artistic side is evident in the ceramic vases displayed around the Clinic.
The clinic boasts a diverse and passionate team. Dr. Kathy Nguyen, an Optometrist specializing in Myopia control, has returned to Canada after completing her residency in the United States and enjoys exploring Vancouver Island. The office manager, Kim, balances her professional role with personal interests, including visiting local breweries and restaurants.
The team includes Brianne, an Optical Consultant and Ocular Hygienist known for her love of art and outdoor activities, and Brittany, a Licensed Optician juggling her professional responsibilities with being a soccer mom. Additionally, the clinic is supported by Jess, Lindsay, and Maddi, who contribute to its welcoming and efficient environment.

Came in and was pretested by Jess- she was super sweet and knowledgeable, and I felt so comfortable! Dr. Jassal was great and helped me with my new prescription, super friendly and professional. I can see so much better. They were helpful every step of the way, and Jess even labelled my contact boxes for me and made sure I would be all set up in time for my upcoming appointment. She cleaned my glasses and I wasn’t even wearing them out! Lovely staff. Will be back 🙂

Had a great experience with Dr. Nguyen! She is personable and enthusiastic about what she does. She accommodated my young baby in my appointment and even checked her eyes as a bonus! Jess the receptionist was lovely as well.
