Dr. Motakis is a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (FRCSC). After completing his training in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, he decided to further sub-specialize. He completed a fellowship in aesthetic surgery, training in the latest surgical and non-surgical techniques in cosmetic surgery and facial rejuvenation.

Dr. Motakis has authored several chapters in facial rejuvenation and has given several presentations and lectures to professionals and the general public. He has also published numerous articles in peer-reviewed journals and magazines. Dr. Motakis has also actively engaged as an instructor for the Plastic Surgery Aesthetic Surgery Fellowship Program with the University of Toronto.

Dr. Motakis has dedicated a significant amount of the last seventeen years in medical research. His scientific contributions span areas of medicine outside, as well as within plastic surgery, such as craniofacial and aesthetic surgery. He has received several honors and awards including the Medical Research Council of Canada (MRC) Doctoral Research Scholarship for four consecutive years.
Dr. Motakis is also actively engaged as an instructor and lecturer for the Plastic Surgery Resident Aesthetic Surgery Program with the University of Toronto.

I am forever grateful for the existence of this man. He is the most kind, honest, patient, professional, and detail oriented individual I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. He has operated on me on a number of occasions now, and has basically held my hand throughout the entire experience – beforehand, during, and post-op. To be honest, Dr. Motakis is the only doctor I would allow to come near me with a scalpel. I highly recommend him to anyone out there considering any kind of reconstructive surgery. His office staff are also absolutely wonderful, especially his nurse Ruth, who is very helpful, lovely and personable.
