About Dr. Derek Ford
Dr. Ford earned his Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Medicine degrees from the University of Western Ontario. He then completed his residency in plastic surgery at the same university before travelling to the United States to complete his fellowship training. Dr. Ford completed training in oculoplastic, endoscopic, and aesthetic surgery in Baltimore and Atlanta. He continues to be a lifelong learner by attending industry meetings, conferences, and lectures on the most recent advancements in medical aesthetics. To keep himself and his practice at the forefront of today’s innovations, he is an active researcher in the field of plastic surgery. Dr. Ford is also active in academia as a current faculty member in the division of plastic surgery at the University of Toronto.
Dr. Ford developed a deep affection for the people and culture of Ontario while completing his education there. This eventually led to him establishing his permanent practice, Ford Plastic Surgery, in Toronto. Dr. Ford is incredibly kind, focused and a skilled surgeon. He explains procedures in ways that someone without medical knowledge can understand and accurately communicate recovery and results. It’s incredible to find someone so surgically skilled as Dr. Ford but also has such a kind personality.
The staff who work for Dr. Ford are also incredibly lovely. I felt so supported throughout my recent procedure and recovery. From understanding the surgical processes within COVID, to regularly calling to see how I am healing, his staff really makes you feel supported.

I had my initial consultation when things first opened up after Covid. When I walked into Dr. Ford office, my first impression was cleanliness! His office smelled so clean and continues to be spotless today. Dr. Ford does amazing work. I had my eyes and brow lift done. It looks natural and perfect. I recently reached out to him to fix lines around my mouth. He advised that what I wanted might not work and suggested other procedures. I wanted to try injections first and take it from there. Again, his work was flawless! I’ve been to other doctors and spent a lot of money for this procedure and Dr. Ford is the only doctor who got it right, the first time. If you are looking for a doctor who is a perfectionist, Dr. Ford is who you should reach out to. Thank you to Dr Ford and the entire staff.
