About Dr. Damir Matic

Dr. Matic has completed 16 years of post-secondary education, enabling him to provide the best care possible to his patients. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science from the University of Western Ontario before attending the University of Toronto to earn his medical degree and complete his plastic and reconstructive surgery residency training. Following that, he completed a fellowship in craniomaxillofacial surgery at John Hopkins University and the University of Maryland. Dr. Matic had the unique opportunity to learn from and spend time with world-renowned cosmetic plastic surgeons specializing in body contouring, breast augmentation, and facial rejuvenation in Baltimore and Washington, D.C., as part of this fellowship. During this time, he expanded his cosmetic surgery skills, and he now offers his fine techniques and experience to achieve each patient’s desired results. In his first three years in London, he also finished a Master of Science in Medical Biophysics at UWO in the field of facial growth and movement using botulinum toxin A (Botox).

Dr. Matic is an active member of the Division of Plastic Surgery at the University of Western Ontario’s Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry. In addition to supervising and instructing medical students, residents, and fellows at the London Health Sciences Centre and St. Joseph’s Health Care London, he also conducts research. His research has resulted in numerous publications and scientific presentations in North America, Europe, and Australia. Dr. Matic’s current research interests include facial growth, the effects of botulinum toxin on nerve regeneration, and long-term analysis of cleft lip repair and mouth muscle movements.
