About Dr. Abdul O. Atiyah
Dr. Atiyah attended Dalhousie University for his undergraduate degree, medical school, and plastic surgery residency. Following his certification in plastic surgery from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, he went to the University of Toronto to complete an aesthetic fellowship, where he worked with world-renowned faculty. Dr. Atiyah introduced cutting-edge innovations in cosmetic surgery to Cape Breton, where he founded his practice as the island’s first and only Plastic, Aesthetic, and Reconstructive Surgeon.
Dr. Atiyah’s goal is to provide excellent care to his patients. He and his staff take pride in providing the best care and experience possible through communication, loyalty, trust, and expertise. Dr. Atiyah strives for outcomes that lead to patients becoming better versions of themselves. He is well known for his ability to put patients at ease by listening attentively to their needs and building strong relationships from start to finish. His education, certifications, and specialties enable him to make recommendations for procedures that are best suited for the individual, whether non-surgical or surgical. Dr. Atiyah prioritizes patient safety as well as quality results.

Dr. Atiyah currently holds the academic rank of Assistant Professor in Plastic Surgery at Dalhousie University and has previously served as the Cape Breton District Health Authority’s Chief of Surgery. He is a member of several societies, including the Canadian Society of Plastic Surgeons and the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.
