Dr. Mary Claire Peirson, ArtMed's medical director and co-owner, is a cosmetic medicine expert who is passionate about each patient's skin health. She is best known for having a sensitive eye and an artistic sensibility, as well as for having excellent listening skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor. As the medical director of ArtMed, she strives to be forthright, providing patients with clinical excellence, safety, privacy, and long-term continuity of care so that patients feel like they have found their aesthetic treatment home at ArtMed.
About Dr. Mary Claire Peirson
Born and raised in Kitchener, ON, Dr. Peirson graduated with honours in biology from Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo and earned a Medical Doctorate from the University of Toronto and a post-graduate degree in Family Medicine from McMaster University. Dr. Peirson has a long history of working in family medicine in Ontario, as well as in public health, infectious disease, addiction medicine, adolescent health, and women’s health. She was invited to join the practice of medical aesthetics, which she has found to be both creative and rewarding.
Dr. Peirson believes that each patient deserves the best. With education as an integral component of the comprehensive consultations she provides, she carefully researches and vets all new treatments, technologies, and products, while only offering clinically proven premium skincare and best-in-class technologies. These treatments include Sciton Joule laser with Halo, Thermage CPT, Dermapen, and PRP for skin rejuvenation and hair loss. Dr. Peirson and the team of expert practitioners at ArtMed value teamwork and use collaboration to ensure patients are comfortable and knowledgeable when making treatment decisions that will help them achieve their aesthetic goals. Dr. Peirson’s craft is based on professionalism, honesty, and trust, and she is also meticulous when it comes to antiseptic technique and safety due to her background in infectious disease and public health.

From the moment you step into ArtMed , you are greeted with a smile and always so professional. I have had different treatments here with the first being Dr. Mary Peirson, to discuss different products and procedures best for me. Procedures have been administered by Dr Peirson, and different technicians and specialists along the way. All was fully explained, and I must say. I am truly happy with all I have done. ArtMed is an amazing place with friendly, knowledgeable, and caring staff. I had a consult with Dr. Peirson in August regarding an acute skin condition on my face. Her simple recommendations made a huge difference within two days, and I no longer need to use the prescription cream from my doctor that I had been using for two months prior. I went back today, and had a BBL treatment with Ulla. She was great, and took care of my concerns. I look forward to going back again 🙂
