Dr. Leila Kasrai

Dr. Leila Kasrai is a Toronto-based board-certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon with over two decades of experience. She completed her medical degree with Honours at the University of Western Ontario, her residency at the University of Toronto, and obtained her Plastic Surgery Fellowship from the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada in 1999. A respected educator, she is an Assistant Professor of Surgery at the University of Toronto and formerly served as Chief of Plastic Surgery at St. Joseph’s Health Centre in Toronto. Dr. Kasrai is internationally recognized as a leading expert in otoplasty and auricular reconstruction, having trained under Dr. Satoru Nagata, the pioneer of the gold-standard Nagata method. With more than 2,000 ear surgeries performed, she has published and presented extensively on reconstructive techniques. She also has a Master’s in Public Health from Harvard, with a focus on international health, and has worked abroad in Ethiopia and with AMREF on burn-prevention initiatives for children.
