About Dr. K.G. Malpass

Dr. Malpass grew up in the Kootenays before spending the better part of a decade studying in Montreal and Vancouver. He attended McGill University for his premedical education before relocating to Vancouver. In Vancouver, he completed both his primary medical training and his specialty surgery training at the University of British Columbia. As a result of his education, Dr. Malpass has been certified by the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada as a specialist in plastic and reconstructive surgery. Dr. Malpass moved to Prince George in 2005 to open Vitality Plastic Surgery and Vitality Laser & Skin Care. He and his staff are dedicated to creating a welcoming atmosphere in their office so that patients can voice any questions or concerns they may have. They take pride in the high level of care they provide their patients, from the initial contact to the final follow-up session. Each patient is educated on the benefits and limitations of the most recent rejuvenation treatments, and an appropriate treatment strategy is designed to address each client’s specific needs.

While practicing in rural British Columbia, Dr. Malpass has made a difference for doctors who are used to referring patients out of town as well as for patients who must travel for emergent, urgent, and elective plastic surgery procedures. As a Work Safe BC-registered care provider, he is authorized to provide expedited surgical consultations and surgical management for patients in Northern BC who have acute and chronic work-related hand trauma, facial trauma, and other soft-tissue injuries. Dr. Malpass’ services are available at both his practice and the University Hospital of Northern British Columbia.
