Dr. Gorman Louie is an esteemed, board-certified plastic surgeon based in Edmonton, Canada. After graduating with distinction from the University of Alberta in 1980, Dr. Louie pursued specialty training in plastic & reconstructive surgery at the same institute. Furthering his knowledge and capabilities, Dr. Louie earned his certificate from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and dedicated two years to sub-specialty fellowship training in pediatric and adult craniomaxillofacial trauma. Dr. Louie’ pursuit of excellence led him to complete a fellowship in cosmetic surgery at the esteemed Cosmetic Surgery Hospital in Woodbridge, Ontario.
About Dr. Gorman Louie
Returning to his hometown of Edmonton in 1991, Dr. Louie began his clinical practice at the University and the Edmonton General Hospitals. His commitment to advancing the field of plastic surgery is evident in his active involvement in various committees and boards, both locally and nationally. Notably, he served on the Executive Committee of the Educational Foundation of the Canadian Society of Plastic Surgeons, eventually becoming its president in 2011. His expertise and reputation were further recognized when he served as a member of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada Examination Board for Plastic Surgery from 2006 to 2010.
Dr. Louie’s dedication extends to sharing his knowledge as a member of the craniomaxillofacial teaching faculty for the AO North America, where he has delivered lectures across Canada, the United States, and internationally. As an esteemed member of several professional organizations, Dr. Louie continues to contribute significantly to the advancement and dissemination of medical knowledge in his field.
