About Bamboo Tattoo Studio
Bamboo Tattoo Studio, founded in 2010 by Todd Santos, originated from his transformative experience in Thailand where he discovered the ancient art of traditional Thai tattoos. After receiving a full sleeve using the authentic bamboo technique, characterized by a needle attached to a bamboo stick, Todd was inspired to introduce this method to North America. The meticulous and deliberate process of bamboo tattooing, virtually free of bleeding and scabbing, captured his fascination.
In 2010, Bamboo Tattoo Studio opened its doors in Toronto, becoming Canada’s haven for this millennia-old Thai art form. I got my first significant tattoo at Bamboo Tattoo Studio, and it was amazing! Enrik, my artist, did an outstanding job and made me feel super comfortable. I’ve been looking for a tattoo artist that is versatile in their work and someone who i can get along with. That’s exactly what I found in Mia. She was super sweet and easy to work with. Not to mention so patient with understanding my tattoo ideas and really making sure she brought my ideas to ink. I love love loveeeee my new tat and can’t wait to continue to visit her. Super clean studio and amazing environment. All the staff members were friendly and helpful . Even with just calling in and booking my consultation over the phone with Luca. I had the pleasure of attending Bamboo Tattoo this past weekend. From the time I walked in until my session was complete I was treated with amazing hospitality and professionalism. The entire team was amazing and the shop was in its own was next level in terms on appearance and comfort. Najee did an amazing job on the pieces I had done and would 100% recommend him and Bamboo to anyone looking for quality work.
One of the BEST experiences I’ve ever had
One of the BEST experiences I’ve ever had. I got to meet majority of the staff, they were all so kind. Made my first tattoo a lot easier than I expected. I got my work done by Najee and he was phenomenal. A very talented artist. I would also like to point out Luca, the store manager, for checking up on me before, during and after my tattoo. One of the most professional people I have ever met. Overall, it was the best experience I could have ever asked for.

The studio itself is spotless, well-organized, and exudes a high level of professionalism. Erica, in particular, showcased exceptional skill and creativity, elevating my leg tattoo idea to a new level. Just want to say that my experience at Bamboo Tattoo goes waaaay above and beyond from Customer Service and precise appointment updates and details by Luca was absolutely beyond amazing which is an understatement. As for my tattoo from Nina has also gone above and beyond my expectations is once again an understatement. She is a natural artist with outstanding comments from people who seem her work on me. High respect for Todd of course as he is the the owner who created a team where the atmosphere as soon as you walk in is like these guys have been my friends for years. So much respect to Todd and his passion and dedication to his business that goes with his decisions on hiring a team that are top performers as well as super kind.
