Beautifi places No. 8 on The Globe and Mail’s annual ranking of Canada’s Top Growing Companies.

Beautifi ranked No. 8 of 375 companies on Report on Business magazine’s 2026 Canada’s Top Growing Companies ranking.

Canada’s Top Growing Companies is an editorial ranking that launched in 2019 to celebrate the achievements of innovative businesses in Canada. To qualify for this program, companies voluntarily completed an in-depth application process and fulfilled targeted revenue requirements. In total, 376 companies earned a spot on this year’s ranking. The full list of 2026 winners along with editorial coverage is published in the October issue of Report on Business magazine.

“Our annual ranking of Canada’s Top Growing Companies celebrates the innovation, ambition and resilience of businesses across the country, and we’re always excited to share as many of these standout stories as we can—including insight from the entrepreneurs themselves on how other companies can succeed, too,” says Dawn Calleja, editor of Report on Business magazine.

“The Globe and Mail congratulates the winners of Canada’s Top Growing Companies 2026 on this exceptional achievement,” says Andrew Saunders, president and CEO of The Globe and Mail. “Each of these organizations has shown an extraordinary ability to adapt, innovate and grow amid ongoing change. Their achievements reflect the ingenuity and determination of Canadian entrepreneurs and business leaders who are helping shape the future of our economy.”

The way professionals work, hire and build is rapidly evolving, and startups are at the forefront of that change. Our eighth annual LinkedIn Top Startups list identifies those innovators, surfacing the 15 Canadian companies that are growing fast and gaining attention. These young companies aren’t just attracting top talent and investment — they’re shaping the future of their industries, whether it’s streamlining the home mortgage process or helping companies identify and invest in clean energy projects.

The list is backed by LinkedIn data, evaluating startups across four pillars: employee growth; jobseeker interest; member engagement with the company and its employees; and how well these startups pulled talent from our LinkedIn Top Companies list.

Gen-Z Needs New Pathways To Borrowing

In the last 20 years, the way we live and earn has rapidly evolved. Employment is precarious, for starters. It’s also remote and constantly morphing. People with multiple jobs are often paid in a multitude of formats rather than a simple W2 form. The result? It can be harder for young earners to prove they’re qualified for a mortgage or line of credit. Banks may refuse them simply because their financial fingerprints don’t match borrowers from the 1900s.

The three-digit credit score system we depend on is a relic that’s been around in some form for centuries. When lenders use that score to decide whether to make a loan—and on what terms—they’re relying on the basic inputs that bureaus make use of (bill-paying track record, credit card status, etc.). Lenders then look at the borrower’s taxable income, too. But the analysis often stops there.

Behind every borrower lies a complex and dynamic story. And that can be doubly true for young borrowers whose financial lives don’t follow the familiar standard. Many young earners haven’t had a chance to build the traditional credit record that Baby Boomers enjoy, and their work lives can’t always be properly assessed via pre-internet models.

Beautifi Introduces AI-Powered Decisioning to Enhance Credit Underwriting

Beautifi, a leading consumer finance and technology company on a mission to bring beautiful to life, has introduced a more intelligent way for Canadians to secure loans through its new AI-enabled underwriting technology. As demand and access to elective medical procedures increases—from IVF to hair transplants—so too does the desire to finance these procedures to make the costs more manageable. Beautifi’s proprietary decision-making technology enables more accurate risk assessments using machine learning to analyze a wider range of applicant data. This results in an expanded set of loan opportunities and access to a variety of procedures for a more diverse group of borrowers.

The trends in data reflect a growing demand for elective procedures, as more people opt in to meet their health, wellness, and aesthetic goals. Data from the 2023 Plastic Surgery Statistics Report reveals a steady 5% year-over-year growth in elective medical procedures. Beautifi’s own data reflects the macro-level trends in Canada, with many women seeking procedures like breast augmentation and the aptly named mommy makeover to restore the areas of themselves that are so rapidly and drastically altered by childbirth and breastfeeding. But women are not the only ones choosing to take things into their own hands — men are also making up an increasing number of applicants as well. Beautifi is meeting this demand with flexible payment options.

“The reality is today, traditional lending models from banks and other institutions haven’t kept up with consumer behaviours,” said Ryan Brinkhurst, CEO of Beautifi. “Today’s consumers often engage in micro-lending and other newer lending practices that aren’t captured by credit bureaus. Our new AI-enabled system captures a truer picture of their risk profile, enabling us to offer loans where they might not have been approved otherwise. This ultimately helps build their credit score through manageable instalment payments.”
