TMS really is a game changer when it comes to depression and mental health! I began the TMS treatment with more skepticism than hope after having lived with generalized anxiety and depression for over two decades. I have tried various forms of therapy, multiple anti-anxiety medications and anti-depressants with little to no lasting relief and only more of a muffling of my symptoms so I believed I had little to lose in trying TMS. Towards the end of my first week of TMS I began to feel “less dark”. At first I attributed this feeling to my imagination or a placebo effect but the clarity and lightness I began to experience throughout my second week was undeniable. For the first time in a very long time I feel in the moment and not paralyzed by my anxiety. I thank Dr Steiner and the incredibly supportive staff at TMS Clinics of Canada for providing such a safe environment and for giving me back the gift of myself. I know my mental health journey is far from over but my journey is easier thanks to TMS.
