Dr. Ian MacArthur is an Award-Winning Plastic Surgeon in Ottawa, Ontario. He is Board Certified with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and the Medical Director of New Age Medical Aesthetics & Plastic Surgery. Since moving to Ottawa in 2016, Dr. MacArthur has developed one of the busiest plastic surgery practices in the capital. He is known for his friendly and calm demeanor with patients, along with the ability to deliver personalized surgical plans that yield natural, timeless results.
About Dr. Ian MacArthur
Originally from Winnipeg, Dr. MacArthur studied at the University of Manitoba where he received two Bachelor of Science degrees in both genetics and medicine, as well as the Hogg Centennial Entrance Scholarship. In 2005, he was accepted to medical school at the University of Manitoba. Upon entry, he received the Dr. Edward John Bennett Scholarship, which is given to the top applicants for the medical school class. Dr. MacArthur successfully completed his residency in plastic and reconstructive surgery at the University of Manitoba where he served as chief resident in 2013.
After residency, Dr. MacArthur relocated to Miami, Florida where he completed additional fellowship training in Craniofacial surgery at Miami Children’s Hospital. Working in Miami afforded Dr. MacArthur the chance to work with world experts in the field of cosmetic surgery – an experience which he draws upon to deliver excellent, natural, and personal results for his patients.

Working at New Age Medical Aesthetics & Plastic Surgery, Dr. MacArthur has become known in Ottawa for his ability to deliver natural results for his cosmetic surgery patients, as well as for his caring attitude outside of the operating room.
Dr. MacArthur moved from Miami to Ottawa in January 2016. Although Ottawa has quickly become home to him, the Miami weather is certainly missed. When he isn’t working on building his practice, he is spending time with his beautiful new wife. Together, they enjoy travelling and hiking the trails in Ontario and Quebec with their dog, Buddy.

Safe and trusting
I had gynecomastia surgery performed by Dr MacArthur. The entire staff at Kanata plastic and cosmetic surgery was incredibly helpful. I called them with questions at least 20 times and each time I phone they were all extremely helpful and wanting to answer all my questions. Dr MacArthur went through the procedure with me and explained the results that I should expect, I felt very safe in his care and trusted everything he said to me. I got to the hospital around 9am and everyone there made me feel safe, as soon as I saw Dr MacArthur I knew I was ready and all my anxiety went away. I highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking for cosmetic or or any surgery that Dr MacArthur performs. Thank you again to everyone at this facility , you truly made me happy and confident going with you!

I was a patient at this clinic 2 years ago. I cannot say enough about the level of care I received here. Dr. Ian MacArthur was my surgeon. He was so professional and caring. I was extremely confident in my choice after our first meeting. Having surgery on-site made a huge difference for me. The place is immaculate! He did such an amazing job. I truly felt pampered and cared for by all of his staff as well. Coleen was amazing to deal with. I have since referenced 2 other women who have had procedures done with him and they loved their experience as well. I can’t imagine someone choosing another clinic over Kanata Plastic Surgery. It has literally been the best money I’ve ever spent in my life. This is is amazing! Keep up the great work ?
