Dr. Francisco Garcia Medical Prof Corp (Swift Current, SK)

Dr. Francisco J. Garcia is a highly skilled urologist with specialized expertise in sexual medicine. After completing his urology training at the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry in London, Ontario, he pursued a fellowship in andrology, penile reconstruction, and implantation. Driven by a desire to provide more comprehensive sexual health care, he expanded his training to include female sexual dysfunction, making him one of the few physicians in Canada recognized as a fellow by the International Society for the Study of Women’s Sexual Health (ISSWSH).

Now based in Swift Current, Saskatchewan, Dr. Garcia has established a center of excellence in sexual medicine, bringing specialized care to a rural setting. He holds double board certification in both Canada and the United States and frequently provides locum support to other rural communities.

Beyond his clinical work, Dr. Garcia is dedicated to education, training, and medical innovation. He mentors family medicine residents in Swift Current and lectures at the University of Saskatchewan on urologic and sexual health. His expertise has led to invitations to speak at national conferences on rural medicine and sexual health care.

Passionate about advancing medical technology, he played a key role in introducing a surgical laser to Cypress Regional Hospital, expanding urologic treatment options in the region. He has also collaborated with researchers in Regina to develop new treatments for chronic pain disorders and was the first to introduce Rezum water vapor therapy, a minimally invasive prostate treatment, to Saskatchewan. As a strong advocate for early and transparent sexual education, Dr. Garcia remains committed to improving access to high-quality urologic and sexual health care for all.
