1. What is the one Beautifi value that drives you the most?

Constant Improvement is the Beautifi value that drives me the most. When you improve a little bit each day, eventually big things will occur. I do my best to consciously improve something, often barely noticeable, every day.

2. Where are we most likely to find you outside of work?

On the water! Living in Vancouver we have access to the world-class coast of the Pacific Northwest. You can find me on my boat where I go to relax, disconnect, and of course have fun. Unfortunately, the boating season in Vancouver is only a few months long…so in the winter you will probably find me skiing at Whistler.

3. If you could only eat one dish for every meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Eggs with bacon, sausage, hashbrowns, toast, and waffles. Answering this took me far too long!

1. What is the one Beautifi value that drives you the most?

People and Community: I believe that we are only as good as the people we surround ourselves with. Working together and respecting each other as we strive to make a positive impact for our partners, clients, and communities is the Beautifi value that drives me the most!

2. Where are we most likely to find you outside of work?

Outside of work you can find me walking and going on hikes with my dog, Blue or hanging out with friends. I do hope to learn to ski this winter as we are so close to the Whistler mountains!

3. If you could only eat one dish for every meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?

I am a foodie so this question is super hard for me! But I think I would have to say a traditional Sunday Roast dinner so roast beef, potatoes, veggies, and lots of gravy!

1. What is the one Beautifi value that drives you the most?

Transparency. I don’t believe in hiding things from people in my life, whether it’s a customer, colleague, or family member. I like to be open and honest in everything I do in life and I feel business should be no different.

2. Where are we most likely to find you outside of work?

Probably playing with my kids. Whether it be playing sports with them, cheering them on from the sidelines, or just chasing them around the backyard.

3. If you could only eat one dish for every meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?

If it is one meal for the rest of my life it would have to be a steak and asparagus.

1. What is the one Beautifi value that drives you the most?

Commitment to Customers: I have been in the customer service industry for years and I enjoy the interactions with each client, hearing everyone’s story and guiding them throughout their journey with us. It is truly a great feeling knowing you have been able to assist someone in getting a procedure that will change they way they feel about themselves and in turn, help them to present that inward feeling to the rest of the world!

2. Where are we most likely to find you outside of work?

After work you can find me at the gym, hanging out with friends and family or shopping!

3. If you could only eat one dish for every meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?

If I had to eat one meal for the rest of my life it would be pasta followed by a nice glass (or two) of red wine.

1. What is the one Beautifi value that drives you the most?

The value that drives me most is constant improvement. Whether it be day 1 or day 1000 I think it’s really important to always view yourself as a work in progress. Something I remind myself of often is taking just one step forward every day can make a big difference in the long run as all those little changes and improvements add up!

2. Where are we most likely to find you outside of work?

You are most likely to find me exploring Vancouver’s food and restaurant scene with family and friends

3. If you could only eat one dish for every meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?

If I could only have one meal for the rest of my life, I would definitely go with Spaghetti Bolognese. I may have gone a week straight on this during some busy finals seasons last year.

1. What makes Beautifi different from other places you’ve worked?

In my opinion, the biggest differentiator in any workplace is always it’s people!  The people at Beautifi are truly some of the best I have worked with in my professional career to date!  Our small, but mighty team, truly drives the energy of our organization, with everyone working together towards a shared vision and common goal.  It may sound cliché, but joining Beautifi kind of feels like boarding a rocket ship to success with endless opportunities and excitement on the horizon.  Our people, our collaborative culture, and our client-centred approach has laid the foundation for our rapid and continued growth.  I feel incredibly grateful to work with the best team, and best clinic partners in our industry and am inspired by them each and everyday.

2. Where are we most likely to find you outside of work?

Outside of work you will find me going on some kind of adventure with my husband and 2-year-old daughter. I love a good road trip, so it’s rare for us to stay in one place when the weekend rolls around.  One of our favourite places to escape to is our cabin 2-hours north of Toronto, where we play in the river and gather fireside with friends in the summer and snowboard and unwind in our wood-fired hot tub when the winter rolls around. Prior to having my daughter, in my spare time, you’d find me in my pottery studio, where I’d get lost in a pile of clay for hours! I’d love to one day build a small pottery studio on our property up north, where my daughter and I can get our hands dirty, get creative, and pass the time together!

3. If you could go anywhere in the world tomorrow, where would you go?

With so many places on my bucket list still left to visit, it’s tough to narrow it down.  To be honest, I think what would matter most to me is not where I go but who I was going with.  What I’ve learned from my travels so far is that places are only as good as the people you are experiencing them with.  No matter the location, I always have the most memorable experiences when my favourite people are with me to explore new places and see new things together!

Meet the Team - Paul de Jersey, Senior Business Development Manager at Beautifi

1. What do you enjoy most about your role at Beautifi?

I enjoy the fast-paced environment and the unique opportunities that arise daily. The company is rapidly expanding, and with our exceptional team, going to work every day is both enjoyable and fulfilling.

2. If you could have any celebrity as a co-worker, who would it be and why?

Ryan Reynolds. He’s not only hilarious but also remarkably successful in business. Working with him and learning from him daily would be invaluable. And a bonus: he was born in Vancouver!

3. Where are we most likely to find you outside of work?

When not at work, I’m typically in the gym, on hiking trails, playing sports, or spending time with friends and family. Staying physically active is always a top priority for me.

Ryan Anderson Vice President, Product & Technology

1. What do you enjoy most about your role at Beautifi?

In my past life as a technology consultant, my mandates were very broad. I dedicated a significant portion of my time to analyzing the inefficiencies of processes and products across business units at multiple organizations simultaneously. Assuming the role of VP of Product and Technology has proven to be an exhilarating shift, allowing me to tackle similar technology challenges head-on with more depth rather than breadth, and from inception to resolution. This position not only grants me firsthand insight into the tangible impacts of my efforts but also provides an opportunity to collaborate more closely with internal teams. This closer involvement enables me to meticulously curate and optimize output with a level of granularity that was not feasible when juggling multiple external clients, which I find more fulfilling.

2. Where are we most likely to find you outside of work?

At a restaurant or on my bike, my passion for food stems from the belief that it’s the ultimate gateway to experiencing new cultures. Given that endless international travel isn’t feasible, my partner and I make a point to explore Toronto’s vibrant and eclectic food scene. The city offers a wealth of dining experiences, and we relish trying out restaurants of all kinds (I’m also one of those people who is happy to dine alone on occasion). On the other hand, cycling serves as both a fitness activity and a practical means of exploration; riding through the city allows me to delve into areas that are otherwise challenging to access. Although I was once an avid mountain biker, I’ve shifted to roads and light trails as injury recovery time simply isn’t as quick as it once was…

3. What is your creative outlet of choice?

Cooking. My kitchen holds the esteemed title of my favorite room and is where you’ll find me most free evenings. When I’m alone or with my partner, experimenting with new ingredients and trying new recipes is something I find cathartic, but we have the most fun hosting friends for dinner parties. What entices me most about cooking is that it allows for creativity, while also providing immediate feedback. As someone who is inherently impatient, waiting until the very end to test the result simply doesn’t work for me (not a good baker) and so the ability to consistently test and adjust prior the final output works well for me. Also, there are few things more rewarding than having someone dig back in for seconds…

1. What makes Beautifi different from other places you’ve worked?

Beautifi is a fast-paced and growing company in continuous improvement and always looking to do better! That is the most motivating work environment to be in.

2. When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?

I was always recording “tv commercials” pretending to sell various objects around the house with my sister when I was 9 years old… I wanted to be in sales for the longest I can remember!

3. Where are we most likely to find you when you’re not at work?

Roaming around the city trying new restaurants and coffee shops, or at the gym! The best way to start the day is with a good coffee & movement.

Jaclyn Cleiren Business Development Manager

1. What is the one Beautifi value that drives you the most?

The value that drives me the most is “people.” We have an amazing team at Beautifi that constantly challenges me to be better than I was the day before!

2. If you could swap lives with anyone for the day, who would it be? and why?

If I had to choose, I would swap lives with Lisa Vanderpump. She’s a successful business woman with an endless closet who is always surrounded by adorable dogs and travels the world at her leisure.

3. What’s your favourite thing to do on the weekends?

I love going to my favorite restaurants with friends, trying new recipes at home, and skiing in the mountains when it starts to snow.

Amanda Di Luch Business Development Manager

1. What is the one Beautifi value that drives you the most?

The Beautifi value that drives me the most is Community. I love that my work at Beautifi gives individuals across Canada access to medical procedures that were once out of reach for them. The relationships I have formed with clinics that provide quality medical services and the impact Beautifi has had on their patients make my job all the more fulfilling!

2. What’s your favourite way to spend the weekend?

My favourite way to spend the weekend is curled up with my cat and dog and a good book. When I’m not reading, you can find me skiing in the winter, swimming in the summer, or planning my next trip to a new country.

3. What is your creative outlet of choice?

This is a tough one, but I would have to say writing. I have been keeping a journal since I was a kid and have filled almost 10 full books! It’s great to think I will have a record of every stage of my life to look back on one day. I am also a very amateur painter, and would love to get more skilled in it.

2. If you could have dinner with anyone (past or present), who would it be and why?

If I could have dinner with anyone, it would be Jillian Harris. She does it all! Business owner, mother, a big advocate for small/Canadian businesses, and is consistently working towards a greater cause. She is a true inspiration both professionally and in her personal life.

3. Where are we most likely to find you when you’re not at work?

When I am not at work you will likely find me spending time with friends and family outside while we road bike, mountain bike, hike, or ski!
