Before undertaking any procedure, you will want to be confident in your knowledge. Find the details on SculpSure here.
1. What is a SculpSure?
SculpSure is a laser-based, non-invasive treatment that is used to target and reduce or even eliminate fat. It involves a hands-free heat laser belt that uses specific wavelengths and heat to shrink fat cells so they can be expelled through the body’s lymphatic system. The treatment is popular for reducing unwanted fat on the belly, flanks, back, thighs, and under the chin.
SculpSure can reduce up to 25% of fat cells within a given treatment area. It’s one of the most effective body sculpting procedures on the market right now.
This treatment is also excellent for those who wish to achieve long-lasting results without the need for a surgical procedure but are willing to commit to a program that will produce long-lasting results.
SculpSure is not a weight-loss procedure. For best results, you need to control your weight through diet and exercise. If you can’t maintain a healthy weight, the areas treated with SculpSure will become problems again and require additional treatments.
2. What are the benefits of SculpSure?
- Melts away stubborn pockets of fat
- Destroys fat cells
- Desired aesthetic results
- Non-invasive
- Minimal discomfort during treatment
- Can use to treat various areas of the body
- Improves definition of the treated area
3. Am I a good candidate for SculpSure?
The ideal candidate for SculpSure:
- Is within 10-20 pounds of their ideal weight
- Has a Body Mass Index (BMI) of around 30
- Has realistic expectations
- Is in overall good health
- Maintains a healthy diet and exercises regularly
4. How is SculpSure performed?
You will be seated in a reclined position at your appointment, and the areas being treated will be marked by your licensed practitioner.
The SculpSure device will be wrapped around each area like a belt. Its applicators will deliver a 1060-nanometer diode laser that reaches a temperature of approx. 107.6 and 116.6°F. This temperature is closely monitored and is hot enough to kill fat cells underneath the skin but leaves the skin itself unharmed.
The SculpSure device will alternate between the heat laser and a cooling effect. During the procedure, you can relax, read, or even nap.
5. How long does a SculpSure treatment take?
A single procedure takes about 25 minutes on average, and several areas can be treated at the same time.
6. What is the recovery like after SculpSure?
As SculpSure is non-invasive, it has little to no downtime. This means you can get your treatment and immediately resume your everyday activities (even going to the gym!) There may be minimal tenderness, swelling, and bruising, but this will resolve itself quickly.
7. When will I see the results?
As your body metabolises the removed fat cells, you may notice fat reduction in as little as six weeks after just one treatment. However, complete results are usually seen 12 weeks after treatment.
8. How long do the results last?
The results of the SculpSure treatment are permanent as the fat cells do not regenerate. Once the body’s natural waste processes remove the treated fat cells, they don’t come back.
However, if you gain weight, the fat cells that exist may increase in size or new fat cells may grow, therefore maintaining your results requires a healthy diet and regular exercise.
9. What are the risks of SculpSure?
Some minor pinching or tingling sensations may occur during the heat phases of the SculpSure treatment, but no numbing creams or anesthesia is necessary.
You may experience some soreness, stiffness, and bruising after your treatment, but very few severe side effects have been reported as of yet.
10. Is SculpSure worth it?
22/28 people who have undergone SculpSure have rated the treatment “Worth It” (78%)
