About Dr. Robert Strazar
Dr. Strazar grew up in Toronto, Ontario, and began his education at Queen’s University with a bachelor’s degree in life sciences. Throughout his studies, he received numerous academic awards and scholarships, including the second-highest standing in the undergraduate Faculty of Arts and Sciences. Dr. Strazar maintained his academic excellence, scoring in the upper 99th percentile on the MCAT. This achievement earned him early admission to McMaster University Medical School after only three years.
Dr. Strazar discovered his passion for plastic and reconstructive surgery while studying at the University of Manitoba’s plastic surgery program, one of the busiest and most innovative training programs in Canada. During his residency, he was twice awarded the resident teacher of the year. Dr. Strazar returned to Ontario from Manitoba and worked at the University of Toronto, where he completed two additional fellowships. He received additional training in breast reconstruction, microsurgery, and complex reconstruction, as well as breast aesthetics and cosmetic surgery fellowship training. Furthermore, Dr. Strazar has received numerous recognitions, and his research has been named one of the “50 Journal Articles Every Plastic Surgery Resident Should Read” by the American Society of Plastic Surgery.
