Dr. Greg Waslen is recognized as one of the top plastic surgeons with more than 25 years of experience. Since 1980, he has provided both reconstructive and aesthetic surgery in Calgary. As the Director of The Plastic Surgery Centre, Dr. Waslen is dedicated to bringing confidence and specialized care to each of his patients.
About Dr. Greg Waslen
Dr. Waslen graduated from the School of Medicine at the University of Saskatchewan and the University of Western Ontario. Shortly after, he was recognized as a specialist in plastic surgery by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. Over the course of his medical career, Dr. Waslen has carried out over 5000 breast augmentations with saline or gel implants placed either beneath or over the chest muscle. The best recommendations and guidance for each patient’s decision about implant size, kind, placement, and incision is provided by this experience.
Dr. Waslen emphasizes the significance of selecting a qualified, respected, and licensed surgeon as well as a facility known for its attention to detail, personalized treatment, and commitment to the highest standard of care. He recognizes that cosmetic surgery is a significant step that should not be done lightly. Dr. Waslen is currently a Clinical Assistant Professor of Plastic Surgery at the University of Calgary and is frequently invited to discuss and demonstrate cosmetic surgery procedures to plastic surgery societies in Canada and the United States. He also previously held the position of Director of Plastic Surgery at Calgary General Hospital from 1986 until 1997.

One of the best surgeries I've had
I had surgery last week with Dr Waslen, and his team. I had a fantastic experience and I feel like it was one of the best surgeries I have had. I felt comfortable and safe the entire time. Dr Waslen is the best at what he does and I appreciate that he actually cares about you. The after care with Elaine was amazing. She is very knowledgeable and can answer any questions you may have. Thank you to the entire team and I would not go anywhere else for this type of surgery.
To know him, is to love him
I am 62. Dr Waslen has performed numerous surgeries for me and many of my friends during the last 25 years including chemical peels, face lifts, micro needling, breast implants, lip lifts, facial fat transfer, and scar revisions. Every single time, for every single one of us, the results were amazing. His work is perfection – that which only a brilliant surgeon can achieve. He is meticulous, careful, wise, honest, consistent and someone you can trust to always have your best interest and safety at heart. To know him, is to love him. And that we do. He’s made our lives better.
Very Pleased
Very pleased with all services. Dr. Waslen and his team are kind, efficient, and ethical. I saw Dr. Waslen about 10 years ago for a consult, where he actually didn’t recommend I go through with a procedure. This showed me he truly considers the patient best interest. As such, I gladly returned this year (2020) for a different procedure and his skill was excellent. I’ve recommended to a few friends and will continue to do so.
Perfection
Overall experience was incredible from the beginning to the end. The staff showed kindness, professionalism and put me at ease. Dr. Waslen’s work is perfection. He goes above and beyond for his patients. I am so happy with my results. The most amazing office and staff. They always have time to take my calls and answer any of my concerns. Exceptional
I cannot tell you how enough about I feel about this man and his team. I have seen Dr Waslen and Elaine for different services that they provide in previous years. Today, I went because I had an exam at clinic last week that had nothing to do with him or what he did but it had me asking questions of concern. I called the office to talk to the nurse and they immediately asked me to come in.
Even though it was not pertaining to anything I had there, they knew I felt uneasy and asked me to come at the end of the day. When I walked in I could clearly see how busy their day was from surgery and they were running behind. They put me in to a room and when Dr Waslen came in he sat down and said “ok tell me what’s going on” He then listened to me like I was the only patient in the building. He made my concern equally important as anyone else there. He didn’t act inconvenienced or rushed. He just listened. That was not necessary but it was a priority to him. I left feeling so much at ease.
Dr Waslen has been nothing but consistent with his bed side manor and care since day one. Elaine his nurse is absolutely exceptional and the way she makes the way you look and feel a priority is above and beyond. Going to a surgeon/skincare specialist comes with a lot of fear concern and wonder. Its our body/face/future. There are a lot of choices out there. I have referred a lot of people to see them who have agreed and thanked me as they have been exactly what I have promised.
Today, however they went above and beyond even for me. Don’t settle with your health and your future.
