Dr. David Edwards attended medical school at the University of Alberta, graduating in 1983. He then did a Rotating Internship in Ohio at the St. Thomas Hospital Medical Center. Following this, he completed his training in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Alberta, obtaining his Fellowship (FRCSC) in 1988.
About Dr. David Edwards
Dr. Edwards undertook a Cosmetic Surgery Fellowship at the Cosmetic Surgery Hospital in Woodbridge Ontario in 1989. He then returned to his hometown of Edmonton, where he began practice in 1989. He presently practices at the University of Alberta Hospital, the Misericordia Hospital, and the Meadowlark Surgical Centre & Cosmetic Clinic. He is, Associate Clinical Professor in the Department of Surgery at the University of Alberta.
Dr. Edwards is a member of numerous societies, including the Alberta Medical Association, the Canadian Society of Plastic Surgeons, and MANUS (The Canadian Society for Surgery of the Hand), GAM (The Canadian Microsurgery Society), the Canadian Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, the Northwest Society of Plastic Surgeons, and Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.

As a hard working wife and mother of 5 it’s easy to set aside the dreams you have for yourself. I can’t thank Dr.Edwards enough for not only his amazing surgical skills but also his ability to truly listen and empathize. Just a superb Doctor. He is very kind, patient and willing to help you in any way possible. He is meticulous with his work. Best plastic surgeon out there. Just a joy to know and to deal with. Thank you for your hard word over the years. Great staff and wonderful nurses.
Amazing doctor and great support staff!
What an amazing Doctor. He did breast reduction for me. I healed so well and I had no problems with infections, I have very minimal scars. When I went to see the nurse and the doctor the next day they were all very helpful and very supportive. So glad I was referred to him. He saved my life, my neck, back and constant headaches are gone. Thank you Dr Edward’s.
Fantastic carpal tunnel surgeon!
Although on the website it does not mention carpal tunnel surgery , Dr Edwards did my left hand in the summer of 2021 and he did an excellent job on it. In regards to the stitching up of my hand , he did an incredible job and you cant even tell that my hand was operated on . I am looking forward to getting my right hand done in December.
Amazing experience from start to finish!
Dr. Edwards and his team were phenomenal, from the start of the process to the finish. His office staff, the nurses, the OR staff were all so welcoming and reassuring. Not once did I feel uncomfortable or uneasy about my decision to get a breast augmentation. Would highly recommend him.
